Prepared selections for Junior District Band must come from the texts listed below, except as noted.  Music selected
for Senior District Bands may come from any source for that instrument, to include texts, methods, or standard
literature, as long as a copy of that selection is distributed to all directors with audition materials.

If there is prepared music for All-Virginia auditions, those selections are to be used.  The District VIII Audition Chairman will select the portion to be prepared.
