District Band Audition Results

Enclosed please find lists of Junior District Band, Senior Concert District Band and Senior Symphonic District Band and lists of scores of those students who were not selected for either band.  YOU MAY RELEASE THIS INFORMATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

ALL SCORES ARE OFFICIAL - THEY HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND VERIFIED.  THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES IN SEATING OTHER THAN THE USUAL REPLACING OF PARTICIPANTS.  IN THE EVENT THERE IS AN ERROR, EFFORT WAS MADE TO BE AS THOROUGH AS POSSIBLE.  THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES!

When reading the band membership lists keep in mind that:

1.  the alternate does not attend the event unless someone in that section is unable to attend.  If this occurs you will be notified to bring the alternate.
2.  students added to the list to assure that each school is represented do attend the event.
3.  no student was deleted from the band to make room for these additional students.  The added students were just that - added to the section.

** PLEASE NOTE **
1.  The first two snare drummers are to bring their own snare drum and stand.

2.  The third and fourth chair snare drummers bring accessory equipment not needed by the fifth and sixth chair players.  The director of these students are to contact the District Band Host and find out what accessories the conductor requires.  They are responsible for bringing them to all rehearsals and performance.

3.  The 5th chair  snare drummer will bring bass drum and Tam-tam beaters.

4.  The 6th chair  snare drummer will bring 1 pair of concert crash cymbals and suspended cymbal with appropriate mallets.

5.  First chair mallet player brings orchestra bells and chime mallets.

6.  There will be a piccolo chair in both the Senior Symphonic and Concert District Bands.  Piccolo players will play piccolo only, not flute.
