EACH STUDENT:
1. Students that alter or do not follow audition procedure, either through negligence or intent will immediately be disqualified by the administrator at the audition site.
2. Must register during the proper time for his instrument and band.
3. Must bring a properly completed registration slip to the audition registration desk.
4. Must remember the assigned number from the registration desk.
5. Must go from the registration desk directly to the assembly room.
6. Must listen carefully for the instruments and numbers called to go to the warm-up room at the proper time. Students can be disqualified by the host for missing their number.
7. Must NOT PLAY an instrument in the assembly room. A student can be disqualified by the host for playing in the assembly room.
8. Must go to the warm-up room with a guide when called by number. In the warm-up room, carefully warm-up, planning on approximately 10-15 minutes.
9. Must go with the guide from the warm-up room to the audition room when called by number.
10. MUST NOT TALK in the audition room(s). If there is a question, motion for the guide to leave the room. The guide will get the answer from the judges. Even if the judge asks a direct question, DO NOT TALK! Nod the answer to the guide and the guide will reply to the judges.
11. Must play all scales by memory but may use their own copy of the prepared selection.

Must start playing the sightreading within 10 seconds of being
told to "Tap one measure and play the sightreading at your own
tempo".
13. Must return directly to the assembly room after auditioning. No results will be available for several days. Gather all belongings and leave.
14. NOTE TO ALL PERCUSSIONISTS:
a. No mallet or timpani warm-up room will be provided.
b. Students auditioning on timpani will play the audition on the instrument provided by the host.
c. Mallet players have the option of using their own xylophone. A xylophone will be provided.
