Guard Director

McLean High School in Fairfax County is looking for a Guard Director for this coming school year, 2010-2011.  Duties would include overseeing and teaching both the fall marching program as well as the competitive winter guard program.  This includes recruiting students, coordinating schedules with other guard staff members, and anything else logistically that needs to be done along with teaching the group. 

We are also looking for a few guard tech’s who can assist the director.

Band Director

Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., seeks a Band and Music Director for the 2010-11 school year.  This individual will teach all instrumental music sections, including Beginning Band, Wind Ensemble, and String Ensemble, and lead the Marching Band.  Responsibilities also include teaching International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme music courses and music theory, and serving as music department chair.  The position involves working with both novice and experienced student-musicians, and cultivating the abilities of all.  The Band Director is expected to continue recent growth of the program.

Percussion Instructor and Colorguard Director Positions

Orange County High School is seeking both a Percussion Instructor and Colorguard Director for the 2010 Marching Season.

The Percussion Instructor responsibilities would include directing a Marching Percussion Mini-Camp and assisting at Full Band Camp.  The Colorguard position would include:  rehearsing a Guard Mini-Camp, assisting Full Band Camp, weekly practices (Monday and Wednesday 3:30 - 5:45), Home Football games and Competitions.
